Orange Fiber Project

Every year in Italy, over 1 million tonnes of peels from citrus fruits are discarded.

By transforming orange peel into cellulose fibres, the designers at Orange Fiber have developed an innovative fabric, enriched with surprising properties. The vitamin C in the fibres is deposited on the skin through the fabric. Instead of using wood or oil as raw materials for fabric, made using costly and polluting processes, why not use orange, lemon and grapefruit peel? A patented formula with vitamins.

Take a minute to imagine all the industrial waste of citrus transformation in the world turned into a sustainable and biodegradable textile which is a cosmetic and vitamin cream to wear. This is our dream and we want to realize it starting from our country, Italy.
