Orange Fiber Partners with Connect4Climate (C4C)
We are happy to announce our new partnership with Connect4Climate (C4C), the global climate community promoted by the World Bank. The partnership between Orange Fiber and Connect4Climate was born from the common goal of increasing awareness on the issue of climate change both in civil society and in the business world.
Climate change occurs: Temperatures occur, precipitation regimes change, glaciers and snow melt, and the global mean sea level is rising. It is expected that these changes will continue and that extreme climatic events, today the cause of dangers such as floods and droughts, will become increasingly frequent and intense.
The impact and publication factors for nature, for the economy and for our health according to the regions, territories and economic sectors, but the incontrovertible fact is one and cannot be ignored: the issue of climate change it affects everyone closely and it is the responsibility of each of us to commit ourselves to promoting awareness and activism of this phenomenon.
Connect4Climate is committed every day to network and amplify the resonance of initiatives on the subject of climate change, with the aim of establishing contacts with the various sectors of innovation and the world of creativity, focusing on the potential of young people as agents of change in global level.
Among the various partners of Connect4Climate, there are important United Nations organizations, private organizations, media and national and international NGOs involved in the various projects for environmental protection.
For some years now the fashion world has shown itself to be sensitive to the issue of environmental sustainability and climate change. Recently, Vivienne Westwood, the matriarch of the Fashion System, launched yet another revolutionary message: her Climate Revolution, a blog but also a line of ecological scarves for changes in climate change and environmental degradation.
The partnership with C4C represents our commitment in the fight against climate change, a further step forward on our path towards more sustainable fashion.
In the initial phase of the collaboration, our networks will work side by side to share experiences, knowledge and contacts through their networks, exploiting the potential provided by new communication tools, such as social networks and trying to create synergies and moments of virtual meeting. and not, between two apparently distant worlds – civil society and businesses – which will have to act in cooperation to face the challenge posed by climate change.
We hope that in the long term, the union with Connect4Climate can represent an opportunity to amplify the voice of young people in the current global debate on climate change, reaching an ever wider audience and – more importantly – that it can be a way to ensure that our voice has a strong echo on an international scale.
We are very honored to be part of the C4C community and we are convinced that this partnership will bring inestimable value to our work and our commitment to a more sustainable fashion that respects the delicate environmental balances.
